In collaboration with the Beat Museum, this fall, ruth weiss: the Beat Goddess documentary will be touring with the Beat Museum on Wheels across the country to shed light on one of the era's most creative and impressive female Beat poets, ruth weiss. The Beat Museum on Wheels is a part mobile museum and part stage presentation. At each of the stops on our tour, items curated from the Beat Museum’s collection will be on exhibits and more.
Co-founders of the Beat Museum Jerry & Estelle Cimino will discuss the origins and history of the Beat Generation—how it came out of World War II, influenced by jazz, spirituality, and nonconformity. Our team at Kinema will assist in organizing and promoting accompanying film screenings with local organizations.
Cities we will be stoping in: Big Sur, CA, Denver, CO, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Lawrence, Kansas, St. Luois, MO, Chicago, IL, Ohio, Pennsylvania. New Jersey, New York, Boston, Lowell, MA, Baltimore/Washington, DC
